Help The Sweethearts Foundation with 200 volunteers for Recycling Plastic Bottle Tops
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
𦽠The next wheelchair starts with your next Bottle Top. Since 2013, The Sweethearts Foundation has provided more than 600 customised wheelchairs to South Africans living with disabilities, giving children and adults the freedom, dignity, and independence that many of us take for granted. β¨ The incredible part? It costs virtually nothing to help. Across South Africa, everyday people collect plastic Bottle Tops that would otherwise be thrown away. These small items are recycled, and the proceeds help fund life-changing wheelchairs for those who need them most. β»οΈ Every 1,500kg of Bottle Tops collected helps fund a standard wheelchair. It may sound like a lot, but when thousands of people each save just a few tops, life-changing mobility becomes possible. Getting involved is easy: π¦ 1. Collect Save plastic Bottle Tops with recycling codes #2, #4, and #5. To make collecting easy, focus on lids from: π₯ Milk bottles π§ Water bottles π₯€ Cooldrink bottles A simple rule of thumb is: "If you can drink the liquid in its existing form, you can usually keep the lid." Please ensure all Bottle Tops are: β Clean and dry π¨ Sorted by colour π¦ Packed into boxes or sturdy bags π 2. Deliver Once you've built up a collection, deliver it to your nearest Collection Point. Find your closest Collection Point here: https://www.sweetheartsfoundation.org/collectionpoints π£ 3. Share Encourage your friends, family, school, workplace, or community to start collecting too. The more Bottle Tops collected, the more wheelchairs we can help provide. That's it. π‘ One household can start a collection. π’ One workplace can fill a box. β€οΈ One community can help change a life. With more than 100,000 volunteers, 120 Collection Points, 60 participating schools, and over 380,000kg of recyclable materials diverted from landfill, together we're proving that small actions can create extraordinary impact. π Get started today with our Volunteer Impact Kit: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1tjbgxm7lyMx4rllI2YWKrQXxXCgx_P6N?usp=drive_link π Follow, share, and help us grow the movement: Website: https://www.sweetheartsfoundation.org Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thesweetheartsfoundation/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/the_sweethearts_foundation/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/thesweetheartsfoundation β»οΈ Turn tops into mobility. 𦽠Help us give the gift of movement.
