The Sweethearts Foundation

Since Valentine’s Day in 2013, The Sweethearts Foundation has helped provide more than 600 South Africans with something many of us take for granted: the freedom to move. With the support of more than 100,000 volunteers, 120+ Collection Points, and over 60 participating schools nationwide, we have recycled more than 380,000kg of recyclable materials while helping provide customised wheelchairs to those who need them most. We collect: • Bottle Tops (#2, #4 and #5 plastics) • Bread Tags (#6) • Soda Tabs (Aluminium Tabs) • Takeaway Lids (#6 plastic) All Collection Items should be: • Clean and dry • Sorted by colour • Packaged separately into boxes or bags Once collected, items can be delivered to one of our registered Collection Points across South Africa.
