Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
re you a creative storyteller with a passion for social change? The National Rescue for Poverty and Drugs (NRPD) is looking for a dedicated Social Media & Content Creator Volunteer to help us amplify our voice, share our stories, and connect with donors and supporters who want to make a real difference. We do vital work on the ground—from running after-school care programs and coordinating daily food distribution to organizing community sports tournaments and youth development initiatives. We have incredible stories to tell, and we need your skills to help us tell them! What You Will Do Tell Our Story: Capture and create engaging content (photos, short videos, graphic posts) highlighting our daily food drives, youth programs, and community upliftment events. Manage Platforms: Help manage and schedule regular posts across our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). Drive Engagement: Write compelling captions, create digital flyers for upcoming fundraisers, and engage with our online community. Campaign Support: Help design and promote awareness campaigns for specific initiatives (e.g., our after-school transport fundraisers or community events). What We Are Looking For A flair for writing engaging, empathetic, and action-driven copy. Basic graphic design skills (Canva pros are highly welcome!). Experience with or a good understanding of social media algorithms, Reels, and content scheduling. A reliable, self-motivated individual who can dedicate a few hours a week (remote/flexible, with occasional on-site content gathering if local to Cape Town). The Impact You Will Make By helping us build a strong, professional online presence, you directly help us secure the resources, donations, and partnerships needed to keep vulnerable children safe, fed, and empowered. Your creativity will literally help change lives!
