Help Human Rights Screened Foundation with 5 volunteers for Updating the Human Rights Screened Foundation Website

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

The Human Rights Screened Foundation (HRSF) uses film, media, and community events to raise awareness about gender-based violence (GBV), human rights, and social justice. We believe in the power of storytelling to drive change, spark dialogue, and support healing. We’re currently launching new GBV awareness and prevention campaigns—including the Universal Hand Signal for Help, support resources for survivors and families, and soon a "Win a Weekend Away” fundraising competition to help sustain our work. To support these efforts, we urgently need a volunteer with basic website skills to help us update and manage our site. At this stage, we don’t have funding for a full-time IT person, so your help will keep our website active, informative, and accessible until we’re able to grow our team. Your time and skills could help bring critical support to those in need.

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
  6. 6Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
  7. 7Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
