Help Cupcakes of Hope with 5 volunteers for Children with cancer
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
This month we celebrate SuperHero Day on the 31st of October, join us by baking a batch of cupcakes for YOUR Superhero and help us raise much needed funds for children with cancer. We also invite you to dress up as a SuperHero for your SuperHero and show your support as our little fighters can’t fight this battle alone. Cupcakes of HOPE is a registered non profit (NPC 2012/103028/08) and a community-driven cause that aims to raise awareness around childhood cancer and raise funds for children with life threatening diseases. The concept is simple, bake cupcakes or cookies, ask your family, friends and colleagues to donate R10-R20 for a sweet treat, and help us ‘Bake A Difference’ in the lives of children in need, it’s so rewarding and so much fun. Any recipe can be followed as long as you remember to add the secret ingredient, it has to be baked with LOVE. Cupcakes Of Hope fundraisers are hosted by volunteers throughout the year in a wide variety of formats. The funds raised enables us to financially assist more than 200 little patients every month by paying for their medical or day-to-day expenses, this is by far the SWEETEST way to help save a life.
Helpful tips
Stay safe
- 1. Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
- 2. When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
- 3. Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
- 4. Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
- 5. If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
- 6. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
- 7. Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
