We currently have tops and tags by the dozen, but do not have the capacity to sort them; the sorting involves:
1. Separating tops and tags
2. removing any foreign materials
3. further colour sorting the tops

Without this sorting, we are not able to sell the tops and tags to our recycle partners, which means we can not buy wheelchairs.

The children in our community need a lot of help with their homework. The majority of the children who attend this iniaitive are in primary school. Homework Assistance takes place every Tuesday during the school term, between 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm. Volunteers are not obligated to stay the full program time, ie if you can only volunteer for part of that time, you are still very much welcome. Volunteers would be screened to ensure the safety of the children.

Sahara Shelter is a project of Phoenix Child Welfare. Sahara provides services to victims of Gender Based Violence. The victims being women and children are accommodated at the shelter and provided with psychosocial services other services to enable both mothers and children to be empowered. The shelter is in dire need of maintenance, part due to the recent kzn flood. The roof in 2 of the buildings are leaking and the laundry room is flooding whereby a structural engineer is needed to access the best route to undertake repair and construction volunteers as well as per the instructions  of the engineer.
