Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

We have 2 skills centres: one in Durbanville and one in Fisantekraal. Handyman needed to a. mount 1 whiteboard and 2 pinboards b. remove broken TV mount from wall c. Drill a hole for the 2023 statement poster d. Back Fire escape door hook to be refitted as the wind loosened the existing hook e. whiteboard and pinboards to be fitted on dry walls (special dry wall screws will need to be purchased) f. shelving solution to be erected in storeroom (we have 3 nice cupboard doors (in Durbanville storage) that can be sawn in half to make 6 long shelves. These can be fitted to the walls with brackets. We have some used brackets in storage somewhere. Handyman to check if still usable. g. build a mobile unit (on castor wheels) to house an oven hob h. install oven in kitchen with electrical fittings Durbanville • folding table needs repair (metal lever is bent) • credenza drawers need repair • steel cupboard shelves to be straightened (they are warped) • kitchen cabinet to be repaired and refitted to wall in student kitchen • hang whiteboards on dry walls • refit whiteboard in pc skills room • touch up paint in admin office, life skills room and chill area Sewing studio • make-over of sewing studio to provide additional worksurfaces within a limited space • DIY project volunteer to visit facility and consider what can be done to provide more working space and kitchen nook within the building restrictions of the landlord
