Help TURFHALL CHESHIRE HOME with 20 volunteers for Sponsoring a vulnerable resident
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Our residents receive a small disability grant and their shortfall towards their 24 hour specialised care is R3500 per resident per month. We need to raise the visibility of our paraplegic and quadriplegic residents who cannot care for themselves and rely on donors for their compassion and kindness. The families of our vulnerable residents cannot provide the care they require, due to a litany of unfortunate circumstance such as poverty, unemployment, and accommodation constraints. Our Carers and key staff members are our most valuable asset, and trained to assist our vulnerable residents with feeding, bathing, and all their basic needs. Each resident receives a small disability grant and has a shortfall of R3500 per month. We are calling on individuals to please consider a small donation, no matter how small, each contribution makes a massive difference in their lives. Visit our website www.turfhall.org.za or contact Helen via email marketing@turfhall.org.za to show your support. Thank you in advance for your kind consideration.

Helpful tips
Stay safe
- 1. Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
- 2. When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
- 3. Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
- 4. Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
- 5. If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
- 6. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
- 7. Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
