Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Most of our children come from single parent homes. Not all those parents had employment before the lockdown which accompanied covid. Now even fewer have employment and school meals, as is the case for so many of South Africa's children, is the only food our children get. This is why they are allowed to bring their porridge bowls back for more in the mornings as many times as they need until they are satisfied. Why help our little school when so many are needy? We are a very small school with 40 children between the ages of 2 - 6. The school's goal is to give the children of these poor discouraged families the chance their parents and grandparents didn't have to live a fulfilling life. The success of the children has had a remarkable effect on the morale of the village as a whole. My point is for a relatively small amount most of a community can be uplifted via the children and one more social problem solved. We can't do it alone, the resident community is too small to make that possible. Donations of cash in lieu of food will be most gratefully accepted too. The school's banking details are: First National Bank, Cheque Account, Branch: 200412 Account No: 62147034988
