We conducted a community needs-based research and discovered amongst the top 3 most pressing needs in the BM section in Khayelitsha - is a need for a resource centre. We have just finished with the construction of our skills centre in Khayelitsha and would like to convert one of our classes to a computer lab. Ideally, we would like to start off with twenty workstations, which would be made up of: 21 desktop/laptops, with the relevant software 22 Chairs and computer desks 2 Whiteboards Air conditioner Bookshelves 3 sofa It will have a positive impact on all the learners, as part of our service offering would be to equip them with computer skills. We are living in a digital era where information is critical, through this initiative we will be giving our youth access to information.
