How can you help?

Help Lesedi la Batho with 10 volunteers for connecting job seekers to opportunities

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Lesedi la Batho provides free skills training for unemployed youth and vulnerable women in order to prepare them for the job market. Each course includes work-integrated learning experiences, in which learners are placed in practical work environments and potentially absorbed into the business. We also offer job placement assistance after graduation, connecting graduates to jobs, internships or bursaries. We are looking for professionals to help us connect and initiate partnerships with hiring businesses to access entry-level job and learnership availabilities, including opportunities for foreign nationals. Please reach out to us at volunteering@lesedilabatho.co.za or respond to this Need here on forgood. Thank you in advance for your interest in working with us to make the Mabopane community a better place for all!

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
  6. 6Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
  7. 7Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
