Help Midrand SPCA with 5 volunteers for Construction of new buildings for storage and clinic

ver the past 2 years, our society has grown in leaps and bounds. There has been a greater need for our assistance on all fronts: Cruelty complaints are on the rise, which means we require more inspectors There is a greater demand for veterinary assistance, which means we need to expand on our clinic With the growth experienced, we have needed to employ an additional receptionist as we cannot keep up with the admin workload and the phones that are constantly ringing. Our staff quarters are inadequate and cannot house more than one staff member on shift We are in need of employing an inspector controller to assist with ensuring that all inspectorate work is captured and follow ups conducted. Currently our Inspectors are working full days on attending to animal cruelty related matters, home inspections and pro-active inspections; which means that they have to focus on their administrative work at night. An inspector controller would be able to alleviate some of the admin intensive work. There is great demand for us to employ several other key staff members on order to be able to function optimally, but the biggest problem that we currently face; is space. The current offices were not built to accommodate more than one staff member per office, yet at the moment we are anything between two to three staff members sharing the same space. There is therefore an urgent need for us to expand on several of our buildings We do understand that these are very costly projects, but we have been delayed with getting various of these implemented to do funding constraints. It has become a desperate and critical need now as our society and space is bursting at the seems. At this time, we may be able to get a portion (if not all) of the cement donated for these projects There are several ways in which you could choose to become involved: Sponsoring one of the projects (either with a monetary donation or construction of the buildings) Sponsoring a portion of the project (either with a monetary donation or construction of the buildings) Providing us with a breakdown of materials needed for each project so that we can try to raise the materials needed Sponsoring of some of the materials needed Sponsoring some of the labour to help construct these buildings Drawing up of building plans for council approval The Midrand SPCA is a registered PBO and 18 A Tax exemption certificate may be issued upon request for donations made* *labour provided cannot be issued with a Tax Exemption certificate, but all goods and funds donated applies
