Help Lesedi la Batho with 5 volunteers for developing a #GBV support group manual
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Lesedi la Batho provides community support for vulnerable groups, including women who have survived gender-based violence. While our country battles the COVID-19 pandemic and the exacerbated issue of gender-based violence and femicide in our country, we are actively trying to expand our efforts to support vulnerable women. Support groups help women address and overcome their trauma, as well as build sustainable social support networks. We are currently working with over 130 women who have endured domestic violence - our support group facilitators can only do so much. They are working to mentor attendees who have made positive progress and show leadership skills to become facilitators of their own support hubs in order to expand our reach. We are passionate about developing a standardised manual for facilitators to streamline the support provided, and ensure it is of utmost quality. We are looking for a volunteer passionate about women empowerment to develop a user-friendly manual based on experience or research. Topics include GBV, domestic violence, sexual abuse, healthy/unhealth relationships, human trafficking, and more. Please reach out to us at volunteering@lesedilabatho.co.za or respond to this Need here on forgood. Thank you in advance for your interest in working with us to make the Mabopane community a better place for all!
