Help Khulisa Social Solutions with 5 volunteers for Fundraising and resource mobilisation training
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Khulisa Social Solutions is seeking experienced fundraising, business development and resource mobilisation professionals to support NGOs participating in the EmpowerAbility Programme in Musina and Blouberg, Limpopo. One of the biggest challenges facing community-based organisations is diversifying income and building sustainable funding pipelines. We are therefore seeking practical training and mentoring covering: • Developing a compelling funding proposition • Proposal and grant writing • Identifying and researching potential funders • Developing sustainable fundraising strategies • Corporate and CSI/ESG funding approaches • Donor relationship management • Developing fundraising pipelines • Budgeting and costing proposals • Demonstrating impact to potential funders • Exploring earned-income and social enterprise opportunities The emphasis should be highly practical, enabling participating NGOs to work on their own fundraising strategies and proposals during the training. The intervention could be delivered physically in Musina and/or Blouberg, Limpopo, or virtually through a staggered series of sessions. Ideally, the training would include some follow-up mentoring or review of draft funding proposals developed by participating NGOs. Through this support, corporate volunteers can help local NGOs become less dependent on individual funding sources and better equipped to secure the resources required to sustain and grow their work.

- 3. Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
- 4. Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
- 5. If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
- 6. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
- 7. Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
