Help Imbeleko, Dr Seni Myeni Foundation by closing the funding gap for our STEM Afterschool Progra for rural high school learners in KwaNyuswa
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
At Imbeleko Foundation, we support learners from under-resourced rural communities to succeed academically and transition confidently into high school, university, and future careers. As the school year begins, many learners return to classrooms without the resources, academic support, or stability needed to thrive. Through our Afterschool and Academic Support Programmes, we provide structured tutoring, mentorship, psychosocial support, and safe learning spaces for learners who need it most. Your support helps us ensure that learners do not start the year already behind. Your contribution can provide: - Academic support and tutoring for learners in Grades 8–12 - Learning materials and resources - Safe afterschool spaces with trained facilitators - Mentorship and learner wellbeing support Impact at a glance: - R1,500 supports one learner for a term - R7,500 supports a small learning group - R30,000 supports a full afterschool site for a month By contributing, you help learners begin the year with dignity, structure, and hope for what lies ahead.
Helpful tips
Stay safe
- 1. Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
- 2. When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
- 3. Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
- 4. Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
- 5. If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
- 6. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
- 7. Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
