Help Groote Schuur Hospital Trust by donating new or gently used adult clothing for our patients in need

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

This Mandela Month, you can make a real difference in someone’s life by donating new or gently used clothing to patients in need at Groote Schuur Hospital. Every day, patients arrive at the hospital with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Many are admitted urgently, with no time to pack or prepare. Your donation can help restore comfort and dignity to vulnerable individuals during a difficult time in their lives. We’re calling on our community to support this meaningful initiative by donating the following items: ✔️ New undergarments – for both men and women ✔️ Clean new or gently used men & women clothing ✔️ Men’s trousers – sizes 28 to 38 ✔️ Flat shoes – flip-flops or any comfortable flat shoes ✔️ Warm layers – jerseys, hoodies, jackets, and pants for men and women 📍Drop-off Location: Groote Schuur Hospital – Old Main Building, Facility Board Office (Room E49) 🕘Drop-off Times: 09:00 to 15:00 Let’s honour Madiba’s legacy by offering comfort and compassion to those who need it most. #MandelaDay #DonateWithDignity #GSHTrust #ClothingDrive #GrooteSchuurHospital #BecauseItMatters

Helpful tips

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
  2. 2When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
  6. 6Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
  7. 7Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
