Help Khula Unqobe Creative Arts by donating visual arts material for their beneficiaries
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Khula Unqobe Creative Arts requires visual arts materials to effectively support our mission of empowering youth through creativity, self-expression, and practical skills development. Access to quality materials—such as paints, brushes, canvases, drawing tools, clay, and paper—is essential for nurturing artistic talent, boosting confidence, and encouraging emotional resilience among participants. Visual arts activities also enhance cognitive development, fine motor skills, and creative problem-solving, while offering therapeutic benefits that support mental wellbeing. For many of our participants, especially those from under-resourced communities, these materials provide a vital platform for exploring identity, telling their stories, and engaging in meaningful, inclusive learning experiences. In addition, they enable us to produce high-quality artworks that can be exhibited or sold, creating opportunities for income generation and career pathways in the creative industries. Without these resources, we are limited in our ability to deliver impactful, engaging programs that truly reflect the potential and aspirations of the young people we serve.
Helpful tips
Stay safe
- 1. Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
- 2. When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
- 3. Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
- 4. Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
- 5. If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
- 6. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
- 7. Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
