Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

AUGUST - WOMEN'S MONTH "HRSF VICTIMS TO VICTOR" ROUND TABLE DISCUSSIONS: Many of the women incarcerated in correctional centres —especially those imprisoned due to GBV-related self-defence—live in environments where dignity, softness, and self-care are deeply lacking. Pamper products may seem small, but they play a powerful role in restoring humanity, offering comfort, and helping these women reconnect with their self-worth. For women who have survived trauma and now find themselves isolated behind bars, basic self-care becomes a radical act of healing. These products are often in short supply, shared communally, or absent altogether—especially items like lip balm or petroleum jelly. Each pamper pack will be part of a dignity and healing bundle offered to 30 selected women per facility (6 facilities total) during our August roundtable program. The sessions will include: • Short, powerful visual screenings that explore healing, dignity, and survival • Moderated roundtable discussions facilitated by trained volunteers and trauma-informed leaders • Opportunities for the women to reflect, share, and begin healing • A closing ritual of self-care where they receive and use the pamper products.

Stay safe

  1. 1Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.

  3. 3Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
  4. 4Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
  5. 5If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
