Many South African learners complete school without clear exposure to emerging career opportunities in the digital economy. At the same time, youth unemployment remains above 40%, according to Statistics South Africa, highlighting the importance of early career guidance. We are raising R120,000 to deliver an AI Awareness and Career Guidance Programme for Grade 9–12 learners in underserved schools. Through interactive school workshops, learners will be introduced to: • Artificial Intelligence awareness and responsible use • Digital economy career pathways • Entrepreneurship and innovation opportunities • Financial literacy and future-of-work skills The programme will reach approximately 300–400 learners per school across Grades 9–12, equipping them with knowledge to make informed career and education decisions. Funding will support facilitators, learning materials, school workshops, transport, programme coordination, and impact reporting. This initiative strengthens youth employability awareness, digital readiness, and responsible AI literacy, while contributing to skills development and ESG social impact goals.
