Since 2013, The Sweethearts Foundation has provided more than 600 customised wheelchairs to South Africans living with disabilities through the power of community action, compassion, and sustainable impact. Behind every wheelchair is a story. A child finally able to attend school with dignity. A parent regaining independence. A teenager experiencing freedom of movement for the first time. A family receiving hope where there was once helplessness. But today, the need is greater than ever before. Every week, new wheelchair applications arrive from individuals and families desperately waiting for mobility support. Many have been waiting months, sometimes years, for the opportunity to receive the equipment they need to live safer, fuller, and more independent lives. To meet this growing need, The Sweethearts Foundation must now grow beyond its current operational structure. We are raising funds to help strengthen and expand the Foundation so that we can reach more people, support more communities, and create a more sustainable future for the organisation and those we serve.
