Help Project Literacy raise R250,000 for Unemployed Youths and Unskilled ECD caregivers

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Project Literacy has a database of over 3700 unemployed youths that participated in the Run Home to Read Intergenerational Family Literacy Programme across South Africa. These youth members were trained on delivering ECD related programmes to caregivers/ parents with children with no access to ECD centres within their communities. At the end of the project, it was sad to see that these youths had no other means of pursuing a career within the ECD sector due to no qualifications required for a compliant ECD practitioner. Project Literacy acquired an Occupational ECD Practitioner NQF L4 accreditation by the QCTO. Our goal is formalise the ECD sector in rural, peri- urban, and underserved areas of South Africa. Training these learners on this qualification does not only give them an employment pathway but also equips them with a business skill to register and run their own ECD centres and create additional employment opportunities within their local communities of need.
