Admin & Logistics Coordinator Youth Day / Youth Games Event National Rescue for Poverty and Drugs is inviting applications for a dedicated and organised volunteer to serve as our Admin & Logistics Coordinator for the upcoming Youth Day / Youth Games events. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, organised, and enjoys coordinating moving parts to ensure an event runs smoothly from preparation through to execution. ________________________________________ 🧭 ROLE OVERVIEW The Admin & Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for administrative support and logistical planning before and during the event. This role ensures that registrations, equipment, schedules, and resources are properly organised and available when needed. ________________________________________ ✅ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 🗂 Administration • Assist with participant registrations and attendance lists • Manage basic admin records (volunteers, teams, consent forms where required) • Support communication between teams (volunteers, coordinators, partners) • Help prepare event schedules, checklists, and briefing documents 🚚 Logistics • Coordinate logistics for: o Equipment (sports gear, gazebos, chairs, tables) o Sound systems and event materials o Signage and registration desks • Work with the Donations & Sponsorship teams to track incoming items • Assist with setup and breakdown on event day • Ensure the right resources are in the right place at the right time ________________________________________ 🎯 SKILLS & QUALITIES REQUIRED • Strong organisational and time management skills • Good communication skills (WhatsApp, phone, email) • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure • Attention to detail • Reliable, punctual, and solution oriented • Basic admin or logistics experience is an advantage (but not required) ________________________________________ ⏱ TIME COMMITMENT • 2–4 hours per week during the planning phase • Increased involvement 1 week before the event • Full or partial availability on the event day is essential ________________________________________ 🌟 WHAT THE VOLUNTEER WILL GAIN • Hands on experience in event administration and logistics • Exposure to community based project coordination • Opportunity to develop planning and organisational skills • Volunteer recognition and reference letter (on request) • The satisfaction of supporting a meaningful youth initiative ________________________________________ 📌 WHO SHOULD APPLY • Community volunteers • Students (admin, logistics, events, social development) • Young professionals • Anyone who enjoys organising and supporting community initiatives ________________________________________ 📞 HOW TO APPLY Interested volunteers can contact us via: 📧 Email: volunteer@nationalrescue.co.za , timothy@nationalrescue.co.za 📱 WhatsApp: 068 289 1580
