Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

Khula Unqobe Creative Arts in collaboration with Ark Soweto is looking for 10 to volunteer in their "Healing Through Art, Growth, and Gardens" project. Forgood volunteers to support school-based workshops blending healing art, personal development sessions, and home farming skills for learners. Project Summary Volunteers facilitate interactive sessions in schools, through art (visual art, dramatic art, dance, music), personal development topics (self-awareness, leadership), and practical home farming (growing vegetables for nutrition and income). Sessions of the project occur in phases: Learner workshops, hands-on activities, and launch events with performances. Expected Impact Healing art aids emotional expression, reduces stress, and supports trauma recovery, fostering self-esteem among learners. Personal development builds leadership and positive choices, with sustained benefits in resilience and community engagement. Home farming provides food security, health skills, and economic potential through school gardens linked to nutrition programs. Why Volunteer Volunteers gain fulfilment from empowering youth and develop facilitation skills. Opportunities suit diverse skills—artists, educators, gardeners. Contribute to breaking cycles of substance abuse and poverty via creative, hands-on change.
