Help Phakamani Young Minds Academy with 10 volunteers for Health and Safety Compliance (Kitchen Programme)
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
At Phakamani Young Minds Academy (PYMA), our kitchen programme plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of our learners and staff. Every day, the kitchen provides nutritious meals made from vegetables harvested in our garden ensuring that learners have the energy and focus needed for academic and extracurricular success. As our kitchen operations continue to grow, maintaining health and safety compliance has become increasingly important. We are therefore seeking a volunteer with experience or knowledge in Health and Safety standards to help strengthen our compliance, create safer working conditions, and ensure that our kitchen continues to operate at the highest standards of hygiene and food safety. The support of such a volunteer will help us: Conduct kitchen safety assessments to identify potential risks or areas for improvement. Develop and implement health and safety protocols, including food handling, storage, and waste management practices that align with national health standards. Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation for inspections and compliance purposes. Train our kitchen team and volunteers on safe food preparation and emergency procedures. Create a culture of accountability and awareness around health and safety in the kitchen.
