Youth Day / Youth Games Event National Rescue for Poverty and Drugs is seeking committed, motivated volunteers to assist with sponsorship, partnerships, and resource mobilisation for our upcoming Youth Day / Youth Games events. This role is ideal for individuals who are confident communicators, enjoy networking, or would like experience in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and event sponsorship. 🔹 ROLE 1: Sponsorship Lead (1 Volunteer) 🧭 Role Overview The Sponsorship Lead will coordinate and oversee all sponsorship efforts for the event, ensuring that financial and in‑kind support is secured in time. ✅ Key Responsibilities Identify and prioritise potential sponsors (corporates, SMEs, NGOs, community businesses) Coordinate sponsorship proposals and pitch meetings Follow up on sponsorship commitments Act as the main point of contact for sponsors Work closely with the event coordinator and marketing team 🎯 Skills & Experience Strong communication and organisational skills Previous fundraising, sales, or partnership experience (advantageous) Professional email and phone etiquette Ability to work with deadlines ⏱ Time Commitment ± 3–5 hours per week (planning phase) Availability for meetings and follow‑ups 🔹 ROLE 2: Sponsorship Outreach Volunteers (3–5 Volunteers) 🧭 Role Overview These volunteers will actively approach and engage potential sponsors using provided templates and guidance. ✅ Key Responsibilities Contact businesses via email, phone calls, and in‑person visits Distribute sponsorship letters and proposal packs Explain the purpose and impact of the Youth Games event Record responses and follow up where required Refer interested sponsors to the Sponsorship Lead 🎯 Skills & Experience Confident verbal communication Friendly, professional attitude Comfortable approaching businesses and organisations No prior experience required (training and templates provided) ⏱ Time Commitment Flexible (minimum 2–3 hours per week) Ideal for students, young professionals, or community volunteers 🔹 ROLE 3: Donations & In‑Kind Support Coordinator (1 Volunteer) 🧭 Role Overview This volunteer will manage non‑cash sponsorships, ensuring all donated items are tracked, received, and allocated correctly. ✅ Key Responsibilities Coordinate donations such as: Food & refreshments Prizes & giveaways Sports equipment Water, gazebos, sound equipment Keep a record of donated items and sponsors Coordinate collection or delivery of items Liaise with logistics and event‑day teams 🎯 Skills & Experience Highly organised and detail‑oriented Basic admin and record‑keeping skills Reliable and punctual Experience in logistics or admin is an advantage ⏱ Time Commitment ± 2–4 hours per week Increased availability closer to event day
