Help Thokoza Progressive Youth with 10 volunteers for Youth Entrepreneurship and Small Business Support
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Thokoza Progressive Youth (TPY) is a community-based non-profit organisation established in 2008, operating in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng. We are committed to empowering young people through skills development, education and training, poverty alleviation, enterprise development and economic inclusion. We are seeking 10 passionate, skilled and experienced volunteers to support our Youth Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Development Initiative. Our goal is to equip unemployed and under-resourced young people with practical business skills, mentorship and guidance to help them transform business ideas into sustainable income-generating enterprises. We welcome volunteers with expertise in: - Entrepreneurship, business planning and startup development. - Financial literacy, budgeting, bookkeeping and business finance. - Digital marketing, branding, e-commerce and social media. - Business registration, compliance and enterprise administration. - Sales, customer acquisition and market development. - Business mentoring, coaching and enterprise incubation. What volunteers will do: Volunteers will work alongside TPY's programme team to facilitate workshops, mentor aspiring entrepreneurs, review business ideas, provide practical business advice and help participants identify potential markets and income-generating opportunities. Support may be provided through scheduled onsite sessions in Ekurhuleni or virtually, depending on the volunteer's expertise and programme requirements. Why volunteer with TPY? Your professional knowledge can help bridge the gap between skills training and sustainable economic participation. By sharing your experience, you will contribute to youth empowerment, entrepreneurship development, poverty alleviation and local economic growth. Our proposed impact: Through this initiative, TPY aims to support 100 aspiring entrepreneurs over 6 months, subject to funding and available resources. We welcome individuals, business professionals, entrepreneurs, corporate employee-volunteering teams and organisations interested in creating meaningful community impact. Join Thokoza Progressive Youth in transforming skills into opportunities, empowering entrepreneurs and building stronger communities.
