Help Viva Foundation of South Africa with 5 volunteers for Consulting by an Economist re. Cost of GBV Case Review

Here's a little more info about this opportunity...

We are preparing a high-level submission with regard to Gender Based Violence in South Africa and are in need of expert consultation from an Economist. We are a collection of students, activists, and social entrepreneurs. We are presenting a petition to Parliament. The petition highlights the specific problems rape victims face when trying to lay charges with SAPS, and getting the state to prosecute. We take a problem-solution approach. One of our proposed solutions is a re-opening of all previous botched rape cases, so that justicve can be done. We are looking for economists who can analyse the viability of this proposal. Specifically, we would like to know: How much it would cost the state to re-open botched GBV cases? What would be the economic benefit of re-opening these cases? What is the economic cost of not prosecuting GBV cases? Would re-opening botched cases be worth it to the taxpayer? For more information, please contact Meleney B. Kriel, CEO of the Viva Foundation at meleney@vivafoundation.life
