Help Sparrow Schools Educational Trust by donating electrical hand mixers for Hospitality learners
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
At Sparrow Schools Educational Trust, we believe in empowering neurodiverse learners with the tools and confidence they need to thrive in further education, employment, and life. Our hands-on Hospitality programme, at the Sparrow Combined Technical Skills School, is a vital part of that mission, giving students real-world experience in cooking, teamwork, and independent living skills. To keep this programme running smoothly, we’re currently in need of 10 working electrical hand mixers (new or pre-loved — as long as they’re in good condition). These mixers will be used in our kitchen classrooms, helping students apply what they’ve learned and develop practical skills essential for future employment. Even just one or two mixers would make a meaningful difference — bringing us closer to our goal of 10 and giving our learners the support they truly deserve. Your generosity won’t just fund equipment — it will help build confidence, independence, and opportunity for our incredible students.
Helpful tips
Stay safe
- 1. Don’t pass any personal information to people you haven’t met offline before.
- 2. When meeting one of your contacts offline for the first time, always be sure to arrange to meet in a public place.
- 3. Make sure that you are not left alone with someone that you have never met before.
- 4. Know where you’re going. If you’re headed off the beaten track or into an unfamiliar part of town, be sure you have directions and a GPS or map book.
- 5. If you feel unsafe, consult the person in charge and let him or her know.
- 6. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery: it could get damaged, lost or stolen.
- 7. Ask, ask, ask! If you’re worried about something or concerned about your safety in a certain situation, ask the person in charge.
