Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
The Vulnerable and Marginalized women that will be recruited for the Foundations Skill Dev. Programme will in addition to providing pamper products to support dignity and confidence (Point 1 of our 10-Point Upliftment Programme), Point 2 focuses on providing clothing—a critical need for our recruits, many of whom arrive with only the clothes on their backs. These are women who have faced homelessness, incarceration, or severe poverty. Their daily lives have often involved survival under extreme circumstances, and many have endured physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. Being poorly dressed, or not dressed appropriately for the weather, adds another layer of distress and shame to already fragile self-esteem. That’s why providing clean, presentable, and seasonally appropriate clothing is a vital step in their journey toward healing and integration into society. When a woman is warmly and respectfully dressed, it immediately impacts how she sees herself—and how the world sees her. It helps her feel safe, valued, and dignified. It also prepares her to participate in training, attend interviews, and move confidently through society without the stigma of looking “different” or “less than.” Warm clothes help these women physically endure the winter months, but more than that, they serve as a psychological and emotional shield—one that says: “I matter. I belong here.” Many of our recruits haven’t worn a proper outfit in years. Some have never owned their own shoes or winter jacket. We’re looking for new or gently used clothes that are suitable for everyday seasonal wear, job interviews, and training sessions—items such as seasonal tops, pants , comfortable shoes, jackets, scarves, and undergarments. Every donated item can be a symbol of a new beginning. By addressing this practical and emotional need, we’re helping create a solid foundation for success. Dressing with dignity reinforces the idea that these women deserve care, opportunity, and respect. It removes a barrier to participation and creates a level playing field as they prepare to reintegrate into society. If you’re in a position to help, your contribution will go far beyond fabric and thread. It will wrap someone in warmth, hope, and the belief that a better future is possible. For women who have been battered by life, this kind of support is transformative. Together, we can restore not just appearances, but lives.
