South Africa faces a critical and ongoing epidemic of gender based violence (GBV). Shocking statistics reveal a culture of violence against women, with one in three women experiencing physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. This fear and vulnerability significantly impacts women's lives, limiting their freedom, mobility, and overall well-being. We need your help to raise these funds to teach violence prevention to women and children. Knowledge is Power: Many women lack awareness of their rights, available resources, and most importantly, effective safety strategies. Workshops can equip women with the knowledge and skills to identify potentially dangerous situations, develop escape plans, and access support services. I-LEAD will equip women (60-80 per workshop), with the tools and knowledge to navigate a world fraught with danger. By empowering women through safety awareness and self-defense training, we can work towards a future where all women in South Africa feel safe and respected.
