Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
Accessing further education can be life-changing, but for many young people the bursary application process can feel confusing and overwhelming. Johannesburg Dream Center is looking for skilled volunteers to help us create a practical **Bursary Application Guide** that we can use when assisting young people from under-resourced communities. Rather than creating a list that quickly becomes outdated, we would like to develop an **evergreen guide that teaches young people how to find and apply for bursary opportunities themselves**. The guide could include: * Where to look for legitimate bursaries * Different types of bursaries and funding opportunities * How to check whether you meet the requirements * When learners should start looking and applying * Typical documents required * How to prepare and organise supporting documents * How to write a strong motivation letter * Tips for completing online applications * How to keep track of application dates and deadlines * What to do if you do not have easy access to a computer or internet * Common bursary application mistakes * How to identify bursary and education scams * What to do after submitting an application * A reusable bursary application checklist and tracker The guide should be **simple enough for a Grade 11 or Grade 12 learner to understand and use independently**. Professionals from banking, education, graduate recruitment, HR, finance, administration, communications and corporate social investment are encouraged to volunteer their skills. Your contribution could leave Johannesburg Dream Center with a resource that helps young people navigate education opportunities for years to come. **Help us turn “Where do I even start?” into a clear path forward.**
