Purpose of the Role To design and help implement a community-based outpatient rehabilitation program that addresses substance abuse through psychosocial support, education, and reintegration strategies. 📌 Key Responsibilities Program Development Design a structured outpatient program tailored to local needs. Integrate evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, motivational interviewing). Include components like group therapy, family involvement, and relapse prevention. Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and community leaders. Build partnerships with clinics, shelters, and employment services. Monitoring & Evaluation Develop tools to track patient progress and program effectiveness. Recommend improvements based on data and feedback. Training & Capacity Building Train staff and volunteers on addiction support and trauma-informed care. Create manuals and guidelines for consistent service delivery. 🎓 Ideal Background Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or Sociology. Experience in addiction recovery, mental health, or community development. Strong understanding of South African social dynamics and healthcare systems.
