Help Feral Watch And Tnr raise R1250 for Orphan kitten left behind
Here's a little more info about this opportunity...
The heartbreaking cycle of unsterilised feral cats continues — innocent kittens being born into a cold, unforgiving world. We received a call yesterday afternoon about a tiny kitten. Sometimes you just know you have to go — if she had to wait for help, she likely wouldn’t have survived. It seems her mother had left her behind. We immediately gave emergency protocol to the kind human - warmth, sugar support, and no milk or food yet. We headed out to Evander, as the person who found her unfortunately had no transport to Secunda. Her little body struggled to warm up. A warm water bottle and careful heat support were critical. A blanket alone does not warm a cold animal — it only holds existing heat, which she didn’t have. Direct warmth is essential. Feeding a cold kitten is dangerous, as their organs are not functioning properly. She is showing slight neurological symptoms. We are addressing low blood sugar due to not eating, monitoring her closely, and last night she was syringe-fed. This is the reality of unsterilised feral populations — suffering that could have been prevented.
