It breaks your heart to see something so small and innocent treated with such cruelty. Watching them being shoved around with shoes is enough to make anyone angry. But they are safe. They are warm, their little bellies are full, and for perhaps the first time in their lives, they are surrounded by kindness and love instead of fear. They never chose to be born into feral life. None of them do. That is why we keep going, day after day, trapping, sterilising, feeding, rescuing, and trying to prevent more kittens from being born only to face hardship, hunger, danger, and cruelty.
