The Ernest Foundation is seeking a passionate and skilled Fundraising Officer volunteer to join our team and help secure the resources needed to sustain and expand our vital programs for women and children in Orange Farm, South Africa. This role is crucial for our long-term impact and ability to empower our community. As a Fundraising Officer, you will be instrumental in helping us: Develop Fundraising Strategies: Assist in identifying potential funding sources, including grants, corporate sponsorships, individual donors, and community fundraising initiatives. Grant Writing Support: Help research grant opportunities and assist with the preparation and submission of compelling grant proposals. Donor Relationship Management: Support the cultivation and stewardship of relationships with existing and potential donors. Campaign Development: Assist in conceptualizing and executing fundraising campaigns and events. Communication Materials: Help create persuasive fundraising appeals, presentations, and reports to communicate our impact effectively. We are looking for someone who possesses: Experience or strong interest in fundraising, grant writing, or sales/marketing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to conduct thorough research. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A deep commitment to social impact and the mission of the Ernest Foundation. Ability to commit to a regular schedule (e.g., a few hours per week/month).
