The Ernest Foundation is seeking a dedicated and organized Project Coordinator volunteer to help manage and streamline our vital community programs for women and children in Orange Farm, South Africa. This role is crucial for ensuring our projects run efficiently and achieve maximum impact. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in: Project Planning & Implementation: Assisting with the planning, execution, and monitoring of various community projects (e.g., educational workshops, food distribution, skill-building initiatives). Resource Management: Helping to track and manage project resources, including materials, volunteers, and timelines. Communication & Collaboration: Facilitating communication among project team members, beneficiaries, and stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed and engaged. Monitoring & Evaluation Support: Assisting with data collection and basic reporting to track project progress and outcomes. Problem-Solving: Identifying potential challenges and contributing to solutions to keep projects on track. We are looking for someone who possesses: Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic understanding of project management principles (experience is a plus but not essential). Proficiency in common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace). A passion for community development and empowering vulnerable individuals. Ability to commit to a regular schedule (e.g., a few hours per week/month).
